This Story Caught My Eye: Yahoo Finds New Way to Deal with Recycled Emails

By the time you read this, there’s a good chance Yahoo’s new “Not My Mail” function will be out. Yahoo created this function that will soon show up in your inbox under your “Actions” tab. It’s a new way for people who are receiving messages from someone else to stop having them sent.

This will help current email account holders while it weeds out inactive accounts. People who haven’t logged into any Yahoo services for over 30 days will be warned via SMS or alternative email. They will have the chance to sign in to save their account before someone else recycles it. How good of an effect it will have on email security we do not yet know. Only time will tell.
